Self-care is so important for our health, every aspect of it. Self-care helps us properly care for our physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health.

I know self-care is something that a lot of people talk about endlessly, but it’s all for good reason. There is an unseen connection between these four areas of our health and when one of them is out of balance, the others begin to teeter as well.

In order to prevent this from happening we need to make sure that we are doing our best to practice self-care daily.

Before we jump into some ways that you can practice self-care daily, let’s address the big elephant in the room. Why the hell do we need to be practicing self-care daily anyways? Besides the reason mentioned above here are a couple more reasons why:

  • Self-care improves our mood
  • Self-care reduces anxiety
  • Promotes healthy relationships
  • Invites positivity
  • Improves our self-esteem
  • Addresses your needs
  • Helps maintain motivation
  • Increases your awareness

Those are a lot of reasons to practice self-care daily and it’s not even the half of it!

Think about this list as individual activities. Can you see the way they directly impact your life? Everything on this list can have a huge impact on your career, family relationships, friendships, the goals you set, and so much more.

Essentially the way you practice self-care, and how often you practice it can directly impact the way you live your life. In order for you to live your happiest and most fulfilled life, self-care is something that you will need to practice daily to ensure you are taking care of yourself to the best of your ability.

How to Set and Achieve Meaningful Goals

What’s your biggest struggle when it comes to goal setting?

Is it finding the “right” goals to set? Knowing how to set realistic goals? Or maybe even setting goals that you will actually feel motivated to work towards? Possibly all of these and much more?

Whatever your struggle is I want you to know that you are not alone.

One of my greatest passions in life is setting goals that I can slowly work towards achieving over the course of a specific amount of time. Sounds so nerdy I know but honestly, I don’t care! I contribute a huge amount of my success in life to my ability to set goals constantly.

It’s so important to set goals for two reasons. One, they show where your current mind state is. Your goals are a mental and physical reflection of where you envision yourself 3, 5, and sometimes even 10 years from now. When you can dream that big it shows that you have big plans for yourself in the future.

The second reason is because it’s a continuous sign of personal development.

Think about it this way, when you set goals, they are going to be related to yourself in some way. Whether that’s through your health, your career, your family relationships, or your life in the future, every goal you set has a direct connection to you.

When you work on those goals, you’re bettering some part of you in some way that is all going to help you become the best version of yourself. I personally do not believe that we can become the best version of ourselves without the commitment to fully engage in personal development.

As you can see setting goals plays an important role in our lives. They can help us paint a picture of how we envision our future life, as well as reveal to us the most important and meaningful aspects of our life in the present moment.

The Best Tips for Staying Healthy During A Crisis

When a crisis strikes, we often don’t know what to do let alone how to react. This is because for most of us, we aren’t prepared for a crisis, so when it happens, we automatically go into panic mode.

Trust me, I use to be one of those people until I learned how to plan for a crisis before it even happened. Or as I like to put it, how to plan for the anticipation of a crisis, even if you never experience one.

While we all hope to never have to live through a crisis that completely shifts our way of living, the reality is that we can’t guarantee ourselves that safety. Therefore, it’s best to be prepared mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually should a crisis ever happen.

Being prepared can help eliminate a lot of stress and anxiety, and can help you maintain some level of normalcy from your everyday life that you can incorporate into your crisis life.

While I cannot provide you with the best tips to help you prepare for a crisis, I can provide you with some tips on how to stay healthy from the inside out during a crisis. Just like preparing for food, shelter, and safety during a crisis you want to prepare for your mental, physical, and emotional well-being as well.

While the event of a crisis happening can’t be anticipated, the way in which you may behave can be. The best way to stay healthy during a crisis is to be consistent in the practices you engage in daily that help you maintain stability in your health and wellness routine.

This is going to help strengthen your mental, physical, and emotional health, which is going to make sticking to your health and wellness goals while experiencing a crisis more manageable.

Daily Morning Habits That Will Improve Your Life

It’s so important to start every morning with a positive attitude and a good energy vibe. This helps to set a positive tone for the day as well as motivates us to make the most of the next 24 hours.

Often times most of us wake up, crawl out of bed, and just start our day. The start of our day may include very simple things such as doing necessary hygiene, doing a quick workout, eating breakfast, etc.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. However, lately I have been doing one-minute activities as soon as I wake up to kickstart my day and so far, it has been life changing.

This is literally a simple activity that I will engage in for no longer than a minute just to get my blood circulating, to help wake up my body, as well as my brain. Once I have done this, then I proceed to start my day by engaging in my daily morning routine.

Doing a simple one-minute activity before starting your morning routine can help improve your life immensely. You may find that you experience more motivation, you’re more productive during the day, and you may find yourself eliminating bad habits.

I have also found that these one-minute morning activities have naturally helped me stay on track with my health and wellness goals, by motivating me to keep the momentum going.

It’s so important to recognize that your mental health is an essential part of your overall well-being. Your mental health influences so many areas of your health, wellness, and life. This includes areas such as your appetite, your energy levels, your sleeping habits, your level of concentration, your mood, and even the way you process information.
