Life is meant to be lived, to be experienced, to be loved, and above all to be enjoyed. Otherwise, what’s the point, right? Well as we all know from personal experiences this isn’t always the case. There are many challenges, roadblocks, and various obstacles that will come our way at any given point and time during our personal journey of life.

When those challenges appear they aren’t always easy to overcome, which can make life in those moments not feel pleasant to experience.

It’s a normal part of life. The honest truth is that we wouldn’t be who we are, we wouldn’t have all that we have, and we wouldn’t be where we are in life without those life experiences. Even though we can learn to be grateful for those challenging life experiences, that doesn’t mean it was always easy to get through them.

While I have had my very own great challenges to overcome, I never was great at overcoming them mentally or emotionally. I use to be a complete disaster within the disaster that was happening around me. It wasn’t until I was much older when I started to understand the importance of self-care and religiously practicing it daily.

Now I approach challenges that come my way with a clearer and more focused mindset so that I can remain in control of my thoughts and emotions and ultimately continue to find the joy in life. It’s never an easy battle but if equipped with the right tools, facing those challenging life experiences can be easier to overcome.

Here are some of my best tips to relax your mind to better enjoy your life even when it may seem like everything is falling apart.

5 Things to Do to Be a Healthier Person

Here on the blog, we talk a lot about health and wellness. That’s because I believe that good health truly starts from the inside. There is so much happening within us that filters to the surface and is seen on the outside. What you eat, the amount of exercise you do in a day, how many hours of sleep you get at night, all of it starts from the inside and eventually bubbles to the surface.

Essentially how you care for yourself on the inside is reflected on the outside for others to see. Which means that anyone who knows anything about health can almost always tell when you’re not doing enough of something to keep yourself in good health. Which if we’re being honest can be extremely uncomfortable at times. So, if we’re not doing all that we can to nurture the inside, how could we ever expect the outside to shine as bright as it could?

It’s the one question that I spent years trying to find the answer to. Chances are if you’re reading this right now you’ve been down this road before too. The funny thing is that there really is no right answer to this question. In fact, it’s simple logic that comes with knowledge and experience. If you want the outside to shine as bright as it possibly can, then you have to nurture the inside.

We spend way too much time overthinking how to be healthy. I get it, there’s a lot of information out there, most of which is valuable information to better our health, but the reality is that it’s too much to take in at a time. Not to mention that everything you read is not going to be what’s right for you. Bettering your health is an experimental process because your body is not going to respond to everything the way someone else’s body will.

If you really want to better your health you have to be open to experimenting with activities and lifestyle chances that work best for you. What if I told you that getting started on this journey was a lot easier than you may think? That’s where this post comes in. Believe it or not it is. While everything is not going to work best for everyone, there are some things that absolutely work well for everyone across the board.

The Morning Routine Makeover for A Healthier Self

Do you believe that you start your day as soon as you open your eyes? If so then you and I are on the same page. I don’t know about you but after I’ve been sleeping for about 6 hours and I open my eyes for the first time in the morning, it’s nearly impossible for me to roll over and go back to sleep. No matter how hard I try I can’t trick my body into thinking it’s still resting hour.

No matter how tired I may feel, or how heavy my eyes may be, as soon as I see the light of day I get out of bed and start my day. The start of the day can be the most challenging part of everyday, especially if you wake up really early in the morning. Something that has helped me remain consistent with waking up early and maintaining high energy throughout the day is having a disciplined morning routine.

Having a morning routine helps to organize my thoughts and emotions before I engage with other people, allows me to set my intention for the day, and gives me the space and time to slowly ease into all my daily responsibilities. Seriously its life changing and without it I don’t know if I would be able to confidently tackle all my responsibilities for the day.

Not having a morning routine of some sort in place can leave you feeling a little lost about what to do to start your day on the right foot. In this blog post I’m going to share with you my favorite morning practices that are sure to help you have the best and most productive day.

How To Become the Healthiest Version of Yourself

There are so many ways to live a healthier lifestyle. Which means there are so many different ways to be healthy on a day-to-day basis. This can be accomplished through our diet, physical activity level, wellness practices we engage in, and even the people we choose to surround ourselves with.

Being healthy is so much more than just what people see on the outside. It’s what’s happening on the inside and how we are choosing to care for ourselves that accounts for a large part of our health. This of course means that there are various ways you can properly care for yourself and start living a healthier lifestyle now. There are so many small steps you can take today to become the healthiest version of yourself.

I use to be someone who thought health was all about the physical. I use to think that you could take one look at someone and know within the first 10 seconds whether or not they were a “healthy” person. As I’ve gotten older and I’ve learned a lot more about what health really is, I’ve come to discover that you can’t tell whether or not someone is healthy just from the outside.

It’s so much deeper than that, which means that there are so many different ways you can in fact be healthy. It took me years to come to this understanding. Once I opened my mind to what health really looked like my whole life changed and so can yours.
